Just wondering the good/bad about this company.  I tried to do google search, but did not come up with any up to date information on how this company is to work for.  Any info greatly appreciated.

Do not waste your time with this company. They have NO WORK MOST OF THE TIME. They want you to sign off their system when there is no work, which I have learned that is illegal. I hope they are the next to get sued.

Their line count per day is 1500. That is impossible when you have NO WORK. When you do not make minimum wage, which they do not like to pay, they will find a way to fire you, because they will not pay minimum wage.

You can have 6 accounts and never make their minimum line count. All different spec accounts which they expect you to know. They hound you forever to flex your schedule, but you can never do that because there is never enough work. If there are 3 jobs, they call you on the phone for 6 minutes of transcription. They want you chained to your computer forever.

No one on this planet should have to work a 24 hour day to get enough work to equal 8. If they want you to work Tues through Sat from 3 pm to 11 pm, they should provide you with the work to do that.

Demand that the physicians dictate? If you can figure out how to do that you will make a million dollars.

They need to staff their accounts so that the MTs assigned to those accounts have enough to do during their shifts and stop over-hiring. They need to make sure people work their shifts, no more and no less without "jumping on" when they are not scheduled to work in order to pad their line counts. It's known as management 101. Can I have my million dollars now?

caught up if you only staff the bare minimum? You're sitting not getting paid any way. You have obviously never been a Team Lead or an Account Manager and have no clue as to the inner workings of an MTSO.

Most hospitals have 12 hour TAT, but the MTSOs want it in 1 minute. They overstaff for that reason.

turn around time. Im not sure about most hospitals having a 12-hour turn around time. The hospital I worked for had different turn around times for each work-type for example:

Stats = 1 hour TAT
H&Ps = 2 hour TAT
Consults = 2 hour TAT
Op notes and Cardiology = 6 hour TAT
ER Notes = 6 hour TAT (unless they were being admitted).
Discharge Summaries = 12 hours.

Other ancillary report types like progress notes, radiology, respiratory therapy etc. I dont recall.

If a person is admitted and going for surgery, they had to have that H&P on the chart first. If a patient was being transferred to another facility, they would prioritize their discharge summary and any other necessary reports so they would be ready before the patient's transfer.

I no longer work for that hospital because I was outsourced, but I still do their work at the MTSO they outsourced our department to and the TATs are still the same.

Another thing to keep in mind is that all these companies are in competition with each other and producing work in a timely manner is something these hospitals take into consideration when deciding which company to outsource too.

Yep, I'm sitting here with no work right now. But they keep posting ads to hire more people. They could not care less whether we have work or not. They just want the work done within TAT for their clients and that's all that matters to them. I will be gone from here soon! Cannot make a living like this!!!

Have to question your motives for your response. The problem with these anonymous boards is that you don't know who's posting and what their true agenda is.

Just because someone has an experience that differs from your personal experience does not mean they are being insincere on any level.

That's one of the main problems with this forum, not the anonymity of it, but the fact that some posters refuse to accept the fact different MTs can have different experiences at the same MTSO and insinuate (or flat out accuse) another poster of being disingenuous.

Describing your own positive experience with TT would have been, IMO, much more effective than questioning the other poster's experience.

I have worked for 3 transcription companies over a 6 year period (work for TransTech now). I made the mistake of NOT listening to the MTs on here who said these places had no work. So here I am again having to find out on my own that there is NO WORK!. So fed up with these companies!!!!!

Hi there fellow TT MTs:)  Do any of you ever have trouble with QA at TT.  Lately, I have been afraid to send anything in for correction, particularly 1 person, who dissects my reports down to crossing my Ts and dotting my Is.   I know she is probably just doing her job well, and I know being in QA is a hard job, but this is getting depressing. I started a new thread because I noticed your question about TransTech waaaay down at the bottom of the page and with no responses yet, so here goes... In my personal experience, nothing has changed from the older posts.  Even today, I have 4 accounts and I'm currently waiting for work to come into my queue.  If you can get in with TransTech as a favorite, you can make BIG money doing 98% OP notes (about 30,000 lines per pay period).  But, if you're just a regular, ...

Usually there are lots of posts here about TT.  Just wondering what is going on now.  I was hired and supposed to start work there, but could not work with satellite.  For some reason, the EditScript would not come up.  So I got rid of satellite and had Verizon Wireless installed.  So far this is working pretty good.  Much better than satellite -- knock on wood.  Hopefully I can start working again.  ...

I have to say I really enjoyed working for TT other than the times of low volume and I would recommend them. some part-timers anyway, why not offer weekends to part-timers and offer some Mon-Fri shifts for the experienced full-time MTs you're trying to get.....  That's about the only way you're going to get many experienced quality MTs.  And there are always plenty of MTs looking for part-time weekend work as a 2nd job.  ...
