Not expecting something handed to them - No one is required to share

Posted: Jun 28th, 2023 - 10:29 am In Reply to: people should do their own homework when looking for jobs - and not expect it handed to them

Giving someone the name of a company is not handing them a job. Actually, employees are not always privy to whether or not their company is hiring, unless it’s a very small organization. Companies hire professional recruiters and HR teams, so let them do their job. Many people find job openings randomly just by doing web searches. LinkedIn is free to use and is a good source to look for jobs. Register with a temp agency or your state’s employment security division. Jobs are not going to fall in your lap, especially if you are limiting yourself to medical transcription. One reason that people are reluctant to share where they work might be that they signed a confidentiality agreement regarding the use of social media. I have observed that the people asking for information aren’t sharing where they work either.
