anyone a job. If they the hiring manager, then that would be a true statement. They would be giving someone a job, but without having the authority to hire, they are on the same spot on the totem pole as the rest of us. I'm sure we've all encounterd someone somewhere saying to us, so and so is hiring right now, and we may or may not have benefitted from that information. Massive ego thinking that giving someone the name of a company is providing them with a job. It's not. It's just a name you're giving that's all.
