Ordinal Numbers in number format - ALK Posted: Feb 13th, 2023 - 12:15 pm
Hi All,
I am assisting with improving accuracy for ordinal number returns in speech recognition. Upon reviewing the AHDI BOS we note: "All ordinal numbers should be expressed with numerals except when used as a pronoun."
We have compiled a list of "trigger" words what will return ordinal numbers in numeral format. I have yet to find any sort of reference that gives a full list as to when ordinal numbers should be used in accordance with certain medical terms. Should there be any additions made to the below "trigger" words list?
• Degree
• Rib
• Vertebra
• Cervical
• Lumbar
• Sacral
• Cranial
• Finger
• Toe
• Tarsal
• Metatarsal
• m.t.p.
