This is the first rung on a ladder that has about three steps. I waited 4 months to take the certification test and that was too long. I had to study a lot before but I passed. It probably sent out 20 applications over the next month. Out of those 20, I got two interviews. One of them offered me a job and it was the one I really wanted. The pay is $24 an hour to start which is a lot better than any MT job now. The work is remote for the most part which I think is what I want.
