I meant that perhaps the neighbor couldn’t give her the check for 4 days because she had gone out of town or was otherwise not available. I noticed that I had accidentally used my email but didn’t know how to fix it but it’s linked to a closed account so people can spam it all they want. We should all be concerned with mail theft. If I was anticipating a check in the mail I would certainly get a PO Box, we have had mail stolen in our neighborhood. I apologize for the confusion and thanks for the lecture. By the way, I was directing my response to the OP, not to you but you had to stick your 2 cents in and correct me.
