About the neighbor holding my check... This is what happened. I was expecting my check by the 8th of the month. It did not arrive, but it was the weekend, so I figured it was due to that. Two days later, the neighbor across the street came to my door and handed me the envelope. It says "Payment" right on the front. She said she had gotten it three days prior and thought about not bringing it over, but changed her mind and did. She knew she had it. She sort of knew what it was, and held it for three days trying to make up her mind as to whether or not she wanted to give it to me. Of course, I did not know that she had it, so it would have caused a big disruption in my financial routine. I don't really know her, so I am not sure if she has something against me or not. I guess she must have or she would not have to "think about it" before handing over someone's mail that says "payment" on the front. She knew it was a check, obviously. Just being "mean." I thanked it for bringing it and told her that it was my pay for my job. What I thought in my head was a bit different.
