I took early retirement at 62. I realize that I accepted less than what I would have made if I had waited to full retirement. I am extremely happy with my decision. I do a tiny amount of transcription work for a small company now and I enjoy that. Recently, I was offered a full time job with a major MTSO. I went through all the paperwork (of which there was plenty). I found out this job required VDI for which I would have needed a new computer. I still contemplated accepting the job. Then I had an "awakening" which made me think of how I was treated over the last few years and I decided it was not worth my mental health. It is just an awful business now which is too bad. I absolutely loved being a transcriptionist for almost 40 years.
