LAID OFF - LAID OFF PERSON

  I am a part-time employee with 12+ years with NO PERFORMANCE ISSUES nor on special review who was just LAID OFF.  REason:  I was told it was a BUSINESS DECISION..  Since I'm part-time and had NO BENEFITS so basically wasn't costing them anything, makes one wonder who in the world is SAFE...  I'm OK though as I had another part-time job and also social security.  But hope and pray for those who are laid off who are physically unable to get out and get another job or have children at home...   God bless you all, but am writing this so perhaps before this happens to you, you can prepare other options if you're able..
