It's just a term used for virtual desktop interface. There are several out there. They do require a lot of memory and they are especially for workers to access each other remotely without using something like "Go to Meeting" every time. I am sure everyone at some point have allowed someone into their computer to download programs, but you need to give them a code; they can take your mouse over. Okay, so take that scenario and make it every time you're logged in working on the VDI (not just Nuance).
