A class action lawsuit will be of very little to no benefit in this situation. Plus, they usually take a really long time and the attorneys pocket a majority of the money anyway. You are dealing with federal labor laws here, not a civil case. If you were an IC, it would be civil, but Keystrokes only has employees, so this is actually criminal. You need to report this to the labor board both in your home state as well as in Illinois (where Keystrokes is located). You also need to report her to the IRS if you find that your tax withholdings have not been paid. Additionally, if you have had contributions for 401k withheld from your paychecks, then you need to check your 401k account ASAP. If you find that any contributions are missing, then you need to report that to the Illinois state police right away as that is embezzelment. Take a look at what happened in this case.
