If you work for a Nuance subcontractor they require you to have VDI installed on your computer. I left 4 companies because of that, but finally caved in and bought another computer just for work and thus do not have to use my own PC. I feel that is asking a bit much of ICs to comply with such a ridiculous requirement, but that is the way it is and I am about down to my last company since I refused to do it before.
