Do not feel alone, Angie - Old MT Posted: Sep 2nd, 2017 - 12:45 am In Reply to: Thirty years experience - Out of work ALL year! - Angie
I have been out of work since April of 2016. I have 46 years of experience doing every type of transcription there is, have sent so many resumes to so many companies that I can't even remember their names, and I still am out of work. I am trying to live on Social Security but it sure isn't enough to pay the bills. The retail jobs I have looked at all say you have to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from the floor over your head to put something on a top shelf, and one application I got said on the first line that you had to be able to lift 80 lbs. I will be 75 in December, so I don't think I am capable of that any more. Most of the MTSOs never even gave me the courtesy of a reply that they even received my resume. Don't feel like you are alone, Angie. I have no life any more and don't know what I'm going to do either.
