I don't know if coding is the best idea either. It's really difficult to get hired and working at home with children would be more difficult than MT. The contract companies have production requirements and you basically have to be 100% accurate, even unintentional errors are compliance issues. Not many coders work at home without experience. That is another job that the schools tell people is easy to achieve and do at home but it is not and that education is also a big investment. For coding, I would not recommend Career Step, there are better programs.
