I don't know where you have been researching on the web. Give us some links to the Youtube videos and message boards that contradict what we say. Have you researched EMR point and click? Have you researched front-end speech recognition? Have you researched the work being done in India and how that has changed our pay?

I have done this for over 40 years. I used to recommend it to others and even trained MTs. I don't do that anymore. My wages have dropped over 35% in the last few years. There are no pay raises in the MT business, only pay cuts.

One last thing....you will need a thicker skin working as an MT. If you think what we said here is so hurtful, wait until QA gets done correcting your reports and gives you feedback...

Nice touch with the quotation from an Indian.....(sarcasm intended)...
