I think this is becoming more prevalent with these overflow companies. No one wants to work nights or late nights any longer. There is no incentive to do so, as you don't get differential, especially as an IC, so why bother. So instead of trying to hire MTs to work nights, they are outsourcing their work to these other companies and you better not get on before a certain time or you are raked over the coals or you can't get in as the system is timed so you can't.
I don't mind working early evenings for about 3-4 hours, but that is it for me. I will see how it goes and if it doesn't work, then I will have to move on.
This job started out pretty good and now it is like all the rest, a hot mess.
