If mine did not autopopulate and it does not allow me to insert anything, I hit F12 for get next, open the next job and then go back to the old job which normally gets it to populate something. For me, that is faster than exiting and going back in. If I get a black box, it takes a minute or 2 and then lets me do what I need to do. For that brief time, I look at something online, or whatever. Such situations make me very grateful for the hourly pay versus production pay.
