For almost 5 years, I get 24 hours of PTO to use "as I see fit" - it has to be sick or vacation. I also have to use it if I do not meet my weekly scheduled hours.... which means that if I am low on work or OOW or something else happens, those PTO hours get used and then when I'm sick or need a day off to attend to something or go to a child's event, I out of luck. Who other than managers get a month of PTO or 12 separate sick days??
