How much do paralegals make? - If not too personal

Nearing 50 too, been doing MT for 20 years. Love MT work, just so frustrated by the low pay. I have considered paralegal but afraid to go to school and wind up in another profession that doesn't pay well, or one that you can do without even having to train for it so you wasted $$ on tuition. I have 3 full-time years of college from 25 years ago, but that is all.
