You know, I've been doing this since about 1999. There was a time when I actually MADE $ doing this job when my kids were little. I had expanders and got to know everyone in my clinic...gravy train, I tell ya. Now, I have a BA and get paid less than, like you said, people at McDonald's. The only way this is going to change is for someone to take the case to our new president in hopes he sees how outsourcing has hurt our jobs, lowered our wages to the point where we are spending literally hours and hours and end up with a laughable paycheck. You are not alone, but I am afraid to say not much is going to change unless somebody, somewhere gets really serious and takes on this challenge. I'm with you, keyboard to keyboard. Take care.
