Yes on SS/Medicare - jal

Yes they DO pay for Social Security/Medicare tax and you get a 1099 form. You have to pay for State and Federal taxes. I recently checked and if you earn more than $3,000 a year for Federal, you should start paying estimated taxes. The site says you can adjust the amount if things change. But you don't have to worry on the SS/Medicare, which was the most important part for me. And, they didn't require a line count either when I worked there as a statutory employee and you could choose to alter your hours at any time with Phyllis Tate. Good employer.
