In the town I just moved from, it was winter and we lost our power, electricity and guess what our cable went out first. Anyway, you cannot say it does not happen with cable. Ice on lines or accidents in places on your particular cable course, through many states cut you out.

So while I agree, I would not want satellite, it does happen frequently with cable and I still have it happening when something in another state goes wrong. Ugh.
