brief form vs abbrev vs acronym - my bad

Somehow I got it in my head that 'brief forms' were okay in headings but acronyms weren't, so I would leave LAB DATA but consistently changed IV FLUIDS to INTRAVENOUS FLUIDS. I'm thinking it stemmed from expanding HPI when it was a heading but I can't find documentation for doing it anywhere now. I'm favoring leaving whatever VR gives me as another poster says they do. ...I'm not the OP by the way, but her question is what started me down this rabbit hole of questioning myself.
