The reason you got a lot of thumbs down is because - see message

you don't know what you're talking about... How do you equate part-time with flexing? Part-time people have a schedule too. Some of us are part-time because we have no choice. Others are part-time because maybe they have another job or other responsibilities that prevent them from working full-time. Why not put the blame where it REALLY belongs, with these companies who hire all these people and have no work to distribute to everyone? Why not blame these companies who DEMAND that people flex (both part-time and full-time) because they haven't considered how the work flows (if it does) and are not basing the schedules on the demands of the client, but on just having people behind their computers? This is why they have been able to run this industry in the mud. They have pitted us against one another, and the majority of us fall for it, even though we have no work, have seen our salaries decrease to almost nothing, treat us as if we are indentured servants, and THEN blame one another for where we are instead of laying the blame where it belongs.

I've never worked in an industry where they didn't also have part-timers. They either came later than others or left earlier, but they still were there for the same purpose as everyone else, to work, point, blank, period. If every account you worked on disappeared or slowed down and they demanded or forced you to become a part-timer, does that mean that YOU are the slacker? If you are hired on a part-time basis, does that mean that you are less than the full-timers they already have because you don't work the same amount of hours? Take it from me, just because you're "dedicated" to slaving away at your job doesn't mean that they appreciate you. It only means that they know that they have someone who will jump through the hoops they want you to jump through with no questions because you believe that you are better than the others who are either dedicated to having a personal life or dedicated to working the hours they signed up for in the first place!
