The Associates Degree means nothing to a coding employer.
In fact, nothing matters to them except that CCS and sometimes the CPC if you can actually pass the employment coding test. Most can't. To clarify that most CPCs can't pass an employment test. The reverse is true with the CCS. If you can pass that, you can pass employment tests, not that you would be considered for a job without the CCS anyway, of course.
