I type as dictated - BOS says...

BOS says 4.2 thousand is 4200. It's too confusing. I type as dictated, period. I'm not seeing where 2.39 thousand comes out to 239,000, if 4.2 thousand comes out to 4200.

I have always typed as dictated, because I'm not a math genius, so help me understand how 2.39 thousand comes out to 239,000.

I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just confused.

2.39 thousand is 2390. - SM

2.39 thousand = 2.39 x 1000 = 2390.

239 thousand is 239 x 1000 or 239,000.

It is easy to figure out, even if you do not have a calculator. Just move the decimal 3 spaces to the right.

239,000 is Way Incorrect - nm

xx

that would be so far off the charts as to be scary - normal: ~ 4500-10,000

What Is AVERAGE Line Count Per Hour For An MT To Type
Aug 17, 2013

Just wondering, what is an Average line count per hour for an MT?  I worked in a pathology office for almost 5 years, but we never kept count of lines per hour.  When we pulled an audit once, we were only typing about 700-800 a day between myself and the lady I worked with.  I had to pull all the slides for the doctor, help with grossing, assist in frozen sections, etc.  I was hired for a job where they want me to type 135 lines per hour, that's ...
