How would you type "twenty thousand point 5?" This is a doctor who consistently dictates odd numbers like the above.

If it were say a white count, I would probably do 20.5 instead of 20,500.

Yes, lab values and it is a white count.

For me, it would be how they dictated it. For twenty point five thousand I would do 20,500. For twenty thousand point five, I would do 20.5 as to me the thousand is a given with a white count. The decimal is said last which would make me think they want decimal form. I guess it is a personal thing. Either way, I don't think you would get counted off by QA.

I have a doctor who dictates this also. My guess is that your dictator is an older physician and h/she is giving the white count value?

It can be typed as either 20.5 or 20,500. I usually opt for typing it as 20,500, since they are saying "thousand" in there, that seems to be the closest to what they are dictating.

I also have another physician who dictates "twenty point five thousand" and I handle this one the same way (20,500)

It just occurred to me that MQ could have another card up its sleeve in order to knock down our pay, yet another scourge to get us to quit. I worked 4.5 hours yesterday and did over 1400 lines! Typed 95 reports. If I apply myself I can make good money. I just need to stop doing other things when I should be working....I should be doing between 1500 and 2000 lines a day the way I look at it. Far above the 1200 a day minimum. With 30 years of experience over many platforms (16 of which are from home), what is the point of applying to any of these companies? They are few and far between. They certainly do not want to pay anyone what they are worth (since they can just outsource on the cheap)... I just looked at my review for March and I see all these 0.5 deductions for "blank filled in by reviewer." There are also Valid Blanks that take off no points. Sorry if this has been asked but did they say they were going to do this? And if so, when? Also, I listened to these blanks.
