Couple thousand jobs in my region, but... - GRRRR!

apparently all of "my" docs have started Easter early. NJA/OOW/nada/zilch/zip/zero jobs for me! Funny considering most of the docs on my accts are from other countries and probably not Christian anyway!

Christianity is not confined to the US. There are other reasons for people to take off right now . . . like Passover (you know, what Jesus was celebrating at the Last Supper . . .).

Patient admissions drop this week because people prefer not to schedule elective procedures before holidays. That makes it a good time for doctors to take time off, especially if they have kids who are home on spring break.

Or maybe they just need to do their taxes.

I thought that was something MM was going to work on...job flow. Instead, they keep too many MTs to their specific accts, constantly running out of work, while it seems other accts have an endless supply (I watch the numbers in DQM), and then they hire new people to staff the new accts. When I tell people in my life about my job, they are just baffled. They always say the same thing, that this is the most unorganized company they've ever heard of. What really makes me nuts is the "unknown." Will I have work on Monday? How bout the next day? Will my accts go completely global and leave me with nothing? I'm planning my escape, but for now this is my job. When people ask me why I still do this, I tell them actually I LOVE my job -- I love being an MT, but I can't stand my company. They have no respect for what we do at all.

They could organize better if they wanted to. All they care about is TAT and they have no interest whatsoever in their employees who sit with no work and no income. They also come up with an amazing number of excuses about why there is no work. There is no work because they don't care about the MT and they still think they can hire high school drop-outs to replace the experienced MT. You just type what you hear, right?

There are probably a ton of people working also - sm

what to do about. I am on unemployment right now honestly making more than when I was working. It is not much, but it is steady.
