Performance Improvement Plan, need advice - in2deep

I'd appreciate any advice about this. I normally have scores between 98 and 99, a few weeks I was over 99. Anyway, I have been put on a Performance Improvement Plan and have 1 week to get 99 or over. If I don't, I will be put on a PIP from HR which sounds ominous but I don't know what that means. Please let me know what to expect and if I am danger of being fired. Thanks!

Performance improvement plans are an employer's way of communicating that a worker is not performing to the expected standard. They also serve as a way to document the deficiency and the employer's efforts to help the employee improve. The documentation can then be used to justify terminating the employee, protecting the employer from lawsuits and increased unemployment costs.

Are you at risk of being fired? I would say yes. I also think that if they fire you, you might be unable to collect unemployment.

I know that if I am fired from the state I live in for not being able to do the work, I will receive unemployment. If I am fired for not showing up to work, stealing and some other things on my part that are avoidable maybe, but not being up to their high standards would make me very eligible for unemployment. Check it out to see if that is the case in your state. These companies do not want to pay UE but don't be intimidated to thinking you can't get it.

With New Plan STM Stated 35% Of Our Team Would C Increase With New Comp Plan

This means 65% will see decrease and/or paid minimum wage. They are touting this as the great new comp  (local Burger King is advertising job for $10/hour).  Anyone find out if the QC percentage is just for blanks or include all sent to QA including Audio issues, etc, and will EQA be included.  Also, trying to figure out our pay from week to week is going to be a pain.  I am going to see how this new comp plan works out, but since the conference call, I'm not feeling pos ...

I was told at my company that we will need to be lowering the jobs we send out to QA or else there will be "corrective action." I am really not sure how to get around fast speakers, muffled words and patient information that just isn't there. I'm not the type to fill in a blank with anything either. I do have superb skills with researching words and the spelling is good. Can someone recommend ways that have worked for them on lowering QA percentage? ...

According to the email from one of the big guys, they're going to do a program for the doctors for improving their dictation. Okay... That could be good if the doctors who need it go. But.... he also mentioned doing a lot more ASR. Well, I don't think dictation training will help that as the program can't even get doctors who speak very very clearly right. It is such a waste and the content angering. Misspelled English words??? Unless it is their versus there, your versus you're, it is due to ASR. Medical words - Again, if it is the right word, ASR program's fault. And yes, we should correct it. Grammar?? Excuse me, I will get dinged for fixing it because the accounts are verbatim. I haven't been put on PM yet but fear I might.  Got an email that said I had a "low-scoring feedback report."  It was for using follow up instead of followup (I know better) and then omitting the word "the."  Now, I will own up to these mistakes, they WERE my mistakes, but by no means life-threatening in any case.  But apparently this caused my score to drop below 98%.  Now I'm terrified they are going drop my pay by 3 cents a line, and I am already in danger of not being able to ...

I am having a computer problem hope you can help...I have a laptop that I had to replaced the hard drive in about 6 weeks or so ago.  When we first got it back, it worked faster than before.  Now, less than 2 months later, it is really slow.  I defragment the hard drive once a week, etc. but it has not helped.  The PC that I use for work (I do not use for anything but work) never has had a problem with getting slower but with the laptop it is bad.  Of cous ...
