New QC/QA-FIESA guidelines! - CuriousMT

Posted: Feb 21, 2014

Has everyone gotten the e-mail about the new QC/QA guidelines with regards to FIESA.  Apparently there are either some brave souls willing to complain to their TSM's and such, or management is actually reading this board (and not just clicking dislike on everything).

The one thing I am not really sure of is that they are no longer going to be showing us the QC/QA comments.  Not that I check FIESA anymore anyway (after reading that so many of you don't waste your time and not seeing any beneift, myself, I no longer check it either), but when I do check it, it's usually becuase I've just started a new account and genuinely want feedback to remind me of what I'm doing wrong!

I never thought it was the comments, per se, that were the issue.  It was marking things wrong that I didn't feel should be marked wrong (which maybe these changes will help that, at least with the whole charging for blanks when we're told DO NOT GUESS!).

Your thoughts?

I got it - newbutold

The not charging for blanks is awesome. I like you only check it when I have to. I didn't really understand the rest of it basically I guess we just don't get to read their comments??? At least maybe they are listening to a certain degree. Don't know quite why it is taking until April for the changes to come about????

Didn't get the email. So glad that I read this board, because I am NOT going to let them get away with making me feel as though I am incompetent. We are all in the same boat. I refuse to check FIESA unless it is a new account for me also. I don't get paid enough to do that.

I wish they would explain it a little more clearly and concisely. - Unsatisfied MT

I didn't really understand it 100%. Does it mean the pay structure is changing also?

I didn't get that - newbutold

[ In Reply To ..]
I don't think it will affect the pay structure. We will no longer be marked off for leaving more than the allotted blanks if they are able to resolve them is basically what I got from it.

The sentence regarding compensation plans is what made me think that. - Unsatisfied MT

Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part??
compension plan? i smell another pay cut - coming our way...

looks like April showers ahead, ie, more tears.

The only change is that they are no longer deducting for blanks. How about all the errors they consider "MAJOR," which are not? Where is that change? This is what I consider punitive also; however, they've done nothing or made no changes in that regard. It is almost laughable the big changes we've been hearing that were coming, that's it?

You give someone an inch and they want a mile. Geez! Be grateful something is working in our favor.

FIESA - laughing

[ In Reply To ..]
Do you seriously think Nuance is doing anything in your favor? They've cut my pay in half and expect near perfection. I don't want a mile, I want some sort of semblance of fairness. Being hit with major errors that are not major isn't fair. I'm glad the little bone we were tossed works for you.

Blanks not deducted on QC only. sm - Blanks deducted on post audit

[ In Reply To ..]
From what I read, sounds like they will still deduct for blanks on post audit. Those count against our bonuses. So...big whooopteedo. I don't care if they count off blanks on reports I sent for review. Or am I misunderstanding?

You are exactly right. I went back and read the email again and that is how I am now understanding it. I emailed my TSM, but she is blatantly ignoring me.

They need to get rid of FIASCO and - GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!

[ In Reply To ..]
Simple! We'd all be happy and we wouldn't all be sick to death over the abusive behavior directed at us. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to improve morale for crying out loud. If we were happy, dontcha think we'd be more productive and more accurate and take pride in our work like we used to do? I know I would.

No longer read their snippy little comments either... - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Some (small minority) of their comments helpful but the majority are simply justification for their petty nit-picking and deductions. Some very snippy and condescending, so better to just skip past the silly so-called feedback. Why waste time on their foolishness.

Still not looking at Fiesa until they pay me for - my time. sm

[ In Reply To ..]
I don't work for free. Give them enough for free as it is, i.e., doctor's names, ADT searches, drug name research, etc., etc.

If Nuance tells us we can put an hour (or more) into Webclock for our time checking Fiesa and submitting reversal requests, then I might do it. Until then? No freebies.

Would be laughable if not so painful - YD

[ In Reply To ..]
My summary of verbiage:

1. "Changes" to QC are completely irrelevant to MTs, don't count, don't matter.
2. QA is what matters, and punitive deductions for blanks that QA fills in will continue according to e-mail.

Who are these people that they think we're such idiots?

Did this email come from India? - Can this person speak English please?

[ In Reply To ..]
Furthermore, why can't they be honest and tell us that NOTHING is changing with regards to our pay? In other words. we are still getting screwed!!

MQ Guidelines/BOS/CPs
Apr 18, 2010

I have been scanning through posts for several years here and am amazed at the recurrent complaints about standards.  Some of you sound as if you have to refer to all three sources every single time you transcribe a document and therefore your production is low and you get crappy audit results.  Really?  If you are not able to retain these kinds of guidelines with the need to only occasionally reference them (except when you're new and training), this is totally not the job f ...

Federal Guidelines To Meet For ICs Under HIPAA
Sep 09, 2013

So I passed the BA Agreement, proof of liability insurance and Policies and Procedures with the company, so I may still be able to work as an IC and not an employee, but here is their response: "You must first provide proof that you meet the Federal Guidelines to remain an IC before providing proof of insurance or policies and procedures. You can research this by doing a Google search but these guidelines MUST be met in order to remain an IC." I already also passed the HIPAA training. What e ...

MModal Guidelines Order Of Importance

With all this talk of people being audited more frequently, including myself.  I thought I'd try to help out a little.  MModal follows 4 documents when it comes to formatting, and they are really cracking down on it.  They have a certain order in which to follow, one trumping the other.  If you can't find what you are looking for in the first document, move on to the next one.  Here's the order: 1.  Client profile - this will list any exceptions to t ...

Why Did I Look At FIESA????

I knew I shouldn't have looked at my FIESA from Saturday but I did.  Majority are 100% so for that I am grateful but THEN there are the others where you are marked off for stuff that make no sense and then there are the stupid errors that I did and will own up to and wonder where my brain was when I was typing - I think my brain was so worried about being marked off for every little thing that I honestly can't concentrate sometimes like I need to. ...

FIESA...
Sep 14, 2012

I know we complain and complain about this on here and we fight and argue with the TLs about this...I was marked off half a point for EACH blank that I left on a dictation that the tape cut out.  The only explanation from QA was that "it was clearly understood".  I am just wondering how it was clearly understood.  I went back and listened to the tape and sure enough where I had blanks, the tape was cutting out.  So why am I being marked off for blanks.  Then on a few ot ...

ANOTHER FIESA LIE

our post-audit reports are randomly pulled.  If you score high enough to get the bonus, your reports are gone through by the hatchet queens in India until they can find a report they can "audit" to bring you below 99%.  If you are kicked back to 98.99%, they still meet their contract requirements to the client, and Nuance does not have to pay you a bonus.  ...

FIESA AND QA- SM
Oct 08, 2013

Much as I dislike FIESA and all this QA, what I really hate is finding out I've been typing something WRONG for 30 years.  The only thing I can say for myself is some QA decades ago filled it in for me and I didn't look it up.  Been typing Campo's fascia instead of Camper's fascia. Took a 1-point post-audit hit on it, too.  Shakes me up, what else have I been doing wrong for 30 years?  And will it knock me out of bonus territory next quarter... ...
