they expect, the more it lowers our pay. They should only expect this kind of accuracy with a pay raise or change to a fair hourly rate. I wonder how much Shah's pay was cut? I would love to predict a mass exodus of US MTs, but I fear there will still be many, many who will swallow this and still smile.

I get garbage from India. After it's been through 2 levels of their own QA. Then I fill in blanks and fix things and make it look really nice. If that bothers you then take your LOA and bye-bye, motood.

As soon as all the docs catch on that technology makes all of us obsolete, there will no longer be a need for outsourcing either. So you better make some money while you can Vaseem. You are not the threat to our jobs. Technology is.

It is not voice recognition software that will put you out of business. It is point and click. And it will happen when you least expect it. They will use you until the very last day that they need you, and then with no warning, you will be no longer needed. It is happening to American workers, and it will happen to you too, unfortunately. So you need to have another plan after this one ends.

I have a question about Smartype and I will try to make it so it is understandable:) I bought Instant Text because I had to have some way of moving my Smartype over into Word 2007 (I had Word 2002). I have Instant Text turned off until I learn the new platform on the new company I am with. My problem is this, the Smartype line will not move with the page so when I get to the bottom of the page it covers up everything at the bottom and I can only manually move Smartype by scrolling back up ...

I thought this was a really cute and interesting way to raise money for breast cancer awareness. Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon made this video to help raise funds and it looks like they had such a fun time doing it. Just to try to help any exasperated MTs out that are hesitant to leave the house for the work field. My stepson has a REAL at-home job and he loves it. He works for a company called New Corp, you can Google that. He works a real 40-hour per week schedule, although you can opt for part-time if you need to supplement MT income. how does this sound for legal transcription work? this is my first time being offered (and quoted) this type of work and pay. any ideas? i did test for them and the verbatim legal test file was quite easy and well over 1-1/2 pages in a short amount of time. <<<15 pages = $18.00 a page.
