How do you guys feel about the weekend incentives that MQ sometimes offers? You know, the 3 cents per line more for exceeding a line count that they calculate from the past for you. Do you actually make more money or is it eaten away by taxes, and is it worth busting your butt for?

who are scheduled to work on the weekends out of their work. We'll sometimes get an email talking about low work & flexing our time, and then another email offering overtime incentives. Doesn't make any sense to me.

I usually work them just because we are always so far behind. Truth is, when you add the money I made from the incentive with my usual end-of-the-month bonus, it usually winds up about the same as what my bonus usually is without the incentive. I always wonder if my end-of-the-month bonus would be the same whether I worked for the incentive or not.

pay out much if any at all, incentive because they set that target rate that you have to get FIRST before starting that extra 3 cents a line so high that they know one of 2 things will usually happen....you won't be able to reach that target or the work will run out bc everyone is TRYING to do that. Win/Win sitch for them; they get everyone to clear out the work that's there and still don't have to really pay out on that bonus.

Hi All, I own an MTSO and want to offer the best pay structure possible for our MTs and Team Leads that are hourly employees. Unfortunately, the economy and this industry are still tough, so the sky is not the limit as far as how much I can pay per line. and offering OT on weekends when there is not enough work as it is. As per usual during an incentive (I work FT and work Saturday), half way thru my shift I get NJA. *** On these stupid incentives, I just pray that I can even get my hours in much less any freaking OT. Same old yada, yada, yada. It seems like they set my minimum at too many lines for me to ever achieve it so I don't even try. BUT did you read the towards the bottom of the email where it says that the payout is Nov 25 EXCEPT for former spheris employees who will get their incentive $$ ON OR BEFORE NOV 5!!??? I work for the NorthEast section of Medquist and my supervisor wanted to verify all of our hours before we started getting locked-out of working hours other than our scheduled hours.
