New mmodal email, which is best? - mmmt

Which is better to switch to, Windows Live or MT Mail Web Access?

I use webmail. Windows Live is a pain in the rear. - JMO nm

It's not really webmail. It's secure in that you're not going to get spammed. The server is passworded. I had way too many glitches with the Live Mail. Ipswitch (the server for the I-Mail) is much less complicated. Takes 2 seconds to get it running. Faster than the Community thing, that's for sure.

Thank you very much! I now have set up both IP Switch and the Windows Live. I like the IP Switch much better. :)

It seemed like a pain getting it set up, but now it works like a charm. It dings when I have mail, which is what I was used to when I had Outlook. I also like the calendar feature so I can make notes of things I need to remember.

I love Windows Live. Have not had any problems with the exception of when I go to close it at the end of the day, it goes through everything I have saved in the program (scans) which takes about 4-5 minutes, but I can do other things on the computer until it is finished. Tech told me they have not come acrosss anyone else with this problem.

Of course tech said you were only 1 with the prob. They - always say you are the only one. nm

Windows Live scanning - NY MT

It does all the scanning the same for me. It it continues I will also call Support.

hate it. It takes almost as long to do anything in it as the old program, lag time and boxes popping up, ugh. I don't see where you can delete multiple messages at once either, and can't find MModal address book.

I will try the other link and dump Live Mail if the other is better, otherwise would rather keep using the old system as it still works for me.

Tech told me there was no MModal address book for the Windows Live.

The only people I need to email are the ones who - email me and I saved them to

Hated the Windows Live email, no better than the old MModal email system in my opinion.

I tried both and Webmail is by far the best. It is fast, no message boxes popping up and no waiting for stuff to load as in the Windows Live crap, and easy to navigate. Webmail looks and performs the same as regular email and I am happy with it.

I have uninstalled the crappy Windows Live mail program from the computer.

Totally agree ! Love the Webmail so much better than Windows Live. You are correct in that it looks and performs like the regular MModal e-mail. :)

I have been offered a new job, aka escape route out of MModal. Everything about the new job makes me happy EXCEPT the high premiums for their insurance plans. Can we really believe the email from a couple days ago promising that our premiums for 2014 would stay the same as they were in 2013???? What's the catch? Is it an outright lie? ...

MModal asks for your SS# on the application process of applying for jobs there!!! Thanks to some of you, I ran ran ran from this place. Why is MModal posting job openings, when so many of use are running out of work or worse falling into the pool--what with the pay cuts, VR being paid half even though it takes nearly as long to edit most reports, and the fact that I only get my "primary" accounts about 30% of the time and the rest of the time I am typing from the pool so that nearly every report that comes up is a new facility or dictator, I have gone from making $16 an hour to minimum wage. I see so many complaints about MModal. Does anyone actually like them? I'm in the hiring process and they are calling with an offer. I would like to try it out. I work in-house now, but eventually my position will be eliminated due to VR. I do not make that great of pay, and have lots of down time, but still have to sit in the office all day. Left MModal 18 mos. ago and have been on here encouraging everybody that there is life after MQ/MM. This week my wonderful clinic goes live with EMR. The trainer won't even recognize transcription. I am so sick of Mmodal. I resigned recently and I keep getting letters to return things that I have never ever owned or received or stuff that I had sent back to them years ago. The DEPOT apparently is as ignorant as the rest of them. SO glad I found real job that pays, respects and appreciates their employees. I have only one PC to return and they sent me five boxes and a bunch of labels and stating that I have in my possession 7 different things.... OMG.. what a joke!!! ...
