Why else do we have such sparse to no dictation? I think we get the left-overs and they are now sending to India, on a trial basis, those facilities that were a hold-out for USA. I have never been this low on work. So far, I have NJA today.

My physical therapists company used Indians - sm

and she hated it..told me all the mistakes they were making..I taught her how to do her own reports and she said it took less time then fixing all their mistakes...

Anything to save a buck. Quality apparently is no longer a concern. NM - anon

I agree with you. I have thought this all along. I have been working in the same platform, same doctors for 2-1/2 years and have never run out of work. Something is definitely going on. My TSM tried to make the excuse that it was the holidays, but I knew better. I wasn't out of work the last 2 holidays, and I definitely was not out of work after the holidays. As far as left overs, your right on that one too. I have definitely noticed not only the dictators but the quantity of the work has diminished. So unfair.

Whenever a new client comes along in our BOB, it is always split in half with part going to US MTs and part going to ILPs. During that time, those ILPs are on 100% US QA with 2 to 3 levels of their own QA, so that their reports are perfect and the client falls for it. Once the month or two probationary period is over, all the work is then sent to the ILPs. I've watched it happen to a few new accounts since last fall.

the effort to insist that ESL learn to speak English as least good enough to be understood by the average patient, much less MT, and the doctors cant make the effort to dictate in a responsible, professional manner. Yet, MT/ Ed are suppose to put in a super human effort to fix this mess, usually to the detriment of our paychecks. Evidently it is an unwritten rule at my company that when you are asked to work hours outside of your shift, or over 40 hours, it is a given that you are to do so with no extra pay. We have a problem on our team with MTs cherry picking *gasp* - I've never worked anywhere where that wasn't a problem.
