How much evidence do you need that they do not care? - old and burned out

I keep seeing posts here that include phrases like "if they cared about us..." They don't care and have never cared. My company was bought out about 15 years ago when we were still working in an office. The story of how they moved us from our office to the "new" office is horrible enough to be part of a Stephen King novel and would make your skin crawl. This is a company that operates by threats, intimidation and punishment and, after all these years, with all the evidence to the contrary, seems to think we can be replaced by high school dropouts. Just expect the worst and you will not be disappointed.

He dressed simply, sometimes even in overalls, and he would visit anonymously with his employees. After his death, of course, all that changed, however, if you have been in the business as long as I have, you will remember the days when the MTSOs did care about their employees. And if you think it is okay for them not to care, then that's just sad.

What works better with children, threats and punishment or praise and rewards? What works when you are training a pet, threats and punishment or praise and rewards? We may be older and possibly smarter than children and pets but we all react in the same way. I thinks the jury's been in on this one for a very long time.

I work in-house doing radiology transcription, mostly VR. The pay is hourly and there is no overtime on our job but there is also no incentive.
