What is going on at Accentus?! I've not been able to work since early Wed. - New Hire/Long-timers please answer

According to my info, my only acct has asked the Accentus not to transcribe. QRS is on vacation. No real info from anyone else. Is this something that happens frequently at this company? You are just told to stop working & hang on? Obviously, people can't afford to be that casual.

They're off-shoring a lot of their work since they can pay even less than the 4 cpl to them. OTT sold to Accentus so I quit due to not agreeing with sending our work to others.

I'm with acute care also and there is plenty of work on my accounts, but I don't know about the others? Can you get any kind of response from your QRS? As far as I know, the accounts I am on do NOT offshore, but I guess things could change. I know they are still hiring on other accounts, including the Canadian one, see if you can get on one of those, contact your recruiter as well if you get no response, not sure if she could help but it couldn't hurt. I would think they would want to use you on one of those accounts rather than hiring someone they then need to orient. Good luck!

even though I desperately want out of Nuance, I continue to stay.

I have done the jumping from company to company and in the end there is always some fatal flaw at all of them.

I never would have imagined reading about a problem like this with Accentus. I always thought they were more organized than that. Never worked for them, but they seemed to have a good reputation.

are all US based, I just asked some of my managers of this since I've seen other posts regrading this and don't like the thought of off-shoring. Each of them assured me all of the clinic work in the US (what used to be Zylomed) is kept in the US, however, they couldn't speak for the acute or canadian divisions. I've been with them for almost 3 years now and always have steady work.

I am so sorry this happened! I can say that communication and getting the right person to respond and do something can be a challenge here! I lucked out and am on 2 pretty busy accounts and have done ok. They have consolidated positions to save money so 1 person is doing the work 3 or 4 used to do, but that results in this kind of problem! Try again e-mailing the scheduling person, with maybe URGENT in the title line or something along that line, and try sending a copy to your QRS, to the recruiter, and to HR. You have nothing to lose at this point, although I would be getting my resume out to other companies in this case. I am hoping the best for you!!!

As per her recent email, she ignores email requests because we're supposed to use the scheduling software. She is so far behind on getting anything done, good luck with it. I run out of work consistently and have accepted a position with another company.

Also, I completely agree that jumping from company to company does not make sense, and I hate to do it because it usually ends up the same, but I couldn't afford to stay and not have work.

and that is why she relies on that messed up software for everything. I've never seen where 1 person is responsible for the workflow of multiple accounts and dozens of employees. What do the supervisors do except send out your stats? Do they transcribe, too? If I ever needed help with a report I asked a delta, so I'm confused as why the supervisors have no power to help you with your scheduling or get another account - it's all up to a single person.

Do any of you have this problem? There are several us on one particularly account. They will either sign off 5-6 hours into their 8 hr shift (saying they've met their minimum quota)or sometimes on weekends just leave work not done til the next day. I have the last shift and have to stay until all docs are finished no matter how late. Therefore, I get "mop up" duty every day. Any helpful suggestions?
