Pay scale 3/6 - i want a job like this... - no name

Posted: Jun 04, 2014

Lets see if i make 3/6 a line that comes to

250 x 0.03 = 7.50 an hour  -- wow minimum wage.

150 x 0.06 = 9.00 an hour -- McDonald's wages.

At 4/7

250 x 0.04 = 10.00 an hour  - Do you see the different 1 cents makes?

150 x 0.07 = 10.50 an hour

even if you did slightly better and could do 300 lines an hour editing you would only get 9.00 an hour.  So to make any money there, you would have to literally kill yourself.  TTS IS NO GOOD. period end of story. or anyone else paying those wages.  its slave labor.

There are stilll companies out there that pay 5/8- i have one.

I think you are posting about this company time and time again - about the same thing you hear

[ In Reply To ..]
and get it, I said you "hear." Your postings are really getting old. Same theme. All not even offered what you "heard" paid there. Why do you continue to, as we say, beat a dead horse? You don't achieve what you want, that is others not applying or others not working there. People surely have more sense than to believe 1 poster here that constantly complains about the same issue. So you had a bad experience. All of us have. Move on.

Agree with "beating a dead horse" post. sm - Anon

I work at TTS. Make more than 3/6. Generally hover around $10/hour, am left alone, QA score 99+%, and I'm not killing myself, easy peasy. If I put my pedal to the metal, I'd probably make a bit more; but then I'd probably stress myself out and get bad QA scores to boot. TTS actually works for some people. OP, you really should find something else to crusade about.

Obviously more than 1 unhappy camper with TTS - no name2

[ In Reply To ..]
if it is possible that "some" MTs are happy there, cannot the opposite hold true.... that "some" are not happy?

Geez, you are paranoid if you think one person is out to destroy a company

Not paranoid, can tell the same poster by - the way things are posted

[ In Reply To ..]
and let me ask, why should one person be out to destroy a company anyways?
This is true and factual- math doesnt lie - never will be a TTS
[ In Reply To ..]
If you make 10$ an hour - wow that is a great wage.

Cant you make that at Burger King and Wal-Mart now?
Maybe I could, but. sm - Anon
[ In Reply To ..]
but I don't want to work at Burger King or Walmart. I like transcription and I like working at home. This isn't my only income and my life does not depend on it, so I stay to make an easy second income, instead of standing over a grill or fryer and developing acne from the grease at the age of 65. To each his own.
I would not work for $10 an hour- is that what you - made there, not me
[ In Reply To ..]
There are people who will always make more than you can or I can. The name of the game today is how fast you are able to scan, read, correct in VR. I could beat most in straight typing and made an excellent salary back in the days and now with voice still doing the same. Some are able to achieve a high lph, others not. This is a simple fact and the math has not much to do with it when you can speed along and cha-ching.

not "hear" was offered a position at that rate and this is a public board - no name

[ In Reply To ..]
and I can post what I want. You can chose not to read or ignore any post. You would not be trying so hard to defend a company if it wasnt necessary. I am merely speaking facts. Get over it. If you can show me someone "TODAY" getting a higher pay than 3/6, please I would like to see it. Until then dont call me a liar unless you have proof otherwise. You may went to work there years ago, but we are talking the here and now. Why does this bother you so much that we talk "bad" about TTS unless you are in upper management and it hurts your wittle feewings

Again, its a free country and I can post whatever and whenever I want so long as it is the truth.

If a person does not like a post they always want to call - you upper management

[ In Reply To ..]
nothing more to say. I noticed another poster the other day saying she was a new hire on there and her pay is 4/8. As far as being true, I would be extremely careful about posting things that are not 100% true about a company. Just ask and see if there was not a poster a few years back who was sued by a company where she used to work for putting things on here not true. I would be very careful because companies do come here and read.

From your posts - you can tell

[ In Reply To ..]
why you are no longer at TTS, or any other company.
Can you read and comprehend? i said "offered" not fired talk about clueless - no name

have mercy- let it go...

FOCUS PAY SCALE
Feb 11, 2010

I posted this question below but fear it will be buried. To those of you just hired at Focus, how's the pay scale? I currently make 8.5 straight/4.5 editing. Is it comparable to, higher than or lower than that? I'd never ask anyone to divulge their pay scale but I'm trying to get a feel for if it's better than where I'm at.  TIA to anyone willing to give me a ballpark hint here! ...

Experienced MT looking for new position.  Reading posts seems like Webmedx might be a good choice.  Can anyone give me an idea of earning potential for someone like me with 25+ years experience. Obviously I can see I'll be on my own soon.  Any advice is welcomed! ...

Incentive Pay Scale
Sep 19, 2011

I am wanting to submit a proposal to my company owner about implementing an incentive-based pay scale to help with some issues we are having with people not working consistently and to reward those who are putting in overtime, etc. I am having a hard time finding any information on this as far as like a sample scale. As far as I understand it you make your base pay say for example 7 cpl for the first x lines, then for the next y lines you make an additional 0.025 cpl and so on up the line... If ...

Function Scale
Jan 31, 2013

For *pain* scale (1-10), i was taught to add the range if not dictated. Example: D: Pain was a 5. T: Pain was a 5/10. I'm not familiar with *function* scale.  This is a spine surgeon. Indian MT Pay Scale
Mar 27, 2013

As best I can calculate, the Indian MTs are started at about $40/week. This is not an error. I looked at both the application from Nuance (which can be found by googling) as well as the exchange rate. So when you see all the "extras" they are offered, try not to be jealous; they can't buy groceries with those extras. Apparently they are as dissatisfied with the management of the MTSOs as are we Americans. The question seems to be how many will continue to work for such low salaries and ...
