How is Acusis Transcription Co's US-based company? - Carol

I was hoping that someone would be able to let me know how the quality of Acusis' on-shore/US-based company really is?

Some accounts decent, with eScription platform. Others are horrible, with job descriptions that are over-the-top ridiculous. Acusis transcription platform is slow, clunky, not user friendly. They send most of their work offshore, we get the dregs. Speed and accuracy expectations on employees are way too high for what they pay. US MTs seem to be fewer and fewer, my hunch is they're moving towards 100% offshored work in the future.

Save yourself some trouble - "extremely anal QA, nitpickers," is an accurate description.

This company is run by a bunch of ex-military "my way or the highway" types who don't know the first thing about medical transcription.

Most accounts dont pay for spaces/headers/footers. - They stopped paying for paragraph titles, too.

and so far this year they've been running out of work alot, too.

It's always something.

I received a call today from a recruiter at U-Scribe in response to a resume I must have sent in. I have done some Google research as well as searched through this forum. There's not much to be said about this company except that they are hiring. The gentleman I spoke with today told me they are very backlogged. I had applied to transcriptionamerica.com. I received an email back from a Nancy Lawson, National recruiter asking me to transcribe a sample file. I did this and when I tried to email it back to the address that she sent it from, I keep getting a failed delivery notice saying that the person's inbox is full. Has anyone had any experience with this company? I sent my resume for a job posting and was contacted right away.
