ChartNet opinions? - Curious

Posted: Apr 23, 2010

I just accepted a position about which I'm very excited and understand it is through the ChartNet platform.  I've worked on ChartScript but never ChartNet.

Opinions, hints, tips, positives, negatives, or any information welcome.

TIA!!!

Chartnet is good, but it depends who you are working for. sm - Tiredoldmt

The platform is great, but I have worked for 2 companies that use it. One was great, the other a nightmare. I know that the company I work for now recently purchased it and will be moving a lot of accounts to it, so I am very excited.

Who did you get a job with and congratulations!

Thanks so much.... - Curious

It's with a smaller MTSO from back east that doesn't hire very often (but has great reviews) and I'll be doing straight transcription for an OB/GYN clinic. I've been waiting a couple of months for the position to come through, so I'm excited to say the least.

Is there any similar platform out there you would compare ChartNet to, or is pretty much an entity unto itself?

They're going to get me set up helping out with other clinics so I can learn the platform before my clinic goes live, so it feels great knowing I'll be up to speed when the account is ready.

Thanks again, and good luck to both of us :-)

ChartNet - platform

I've worked on a number of platforms in the past and am currently working exclusively on ChartNet. I think it's really an excellent platform which allows me to fly through demographics and get quickly to the report template. Looking at archived reports is time consuming, but otherwise I have no complaints and consistently high production (straight transcription only -- no VR yet).

Sounds wonderful, thanks so much! - Curious

I'm glad to hear it's an MT-friendly platform. I've been on eScription only for the past year, which is a great VR platform, but I find I'm really looking forward to breaking away for straight transcription to break up the monotony and keep my basic transcription skills up to par.

Thanks so much for your input, I appreciate it!

I have worked on Chartnet, Chartscript and ExText. ChartNet is my absolute favorite. Very transcription friendly. I recently took a job on Chartscript but would have given preference to a company with Chartnet. On that note, I have a feeling you might be with the company I turned down. They seemed like a great fit but wanted more of a "fixed" schedule than I was willing to give as an IC. It was for acute care and they would not accept a window of time. Best of luck. You will love Chartnet and it is very easy to pick up.

platform in all the platforms I have worked so far was ChartNet. It is not perfect but it is very MT friendly and I had a much better line count with that platform than on any I have since worked on.

My favorite too. I heard that Keystrokes is using it too. Is this true? - TiredofBS

I have been thinking of making the move to Keystrokes, and this would clinch it for me. I love Chartnet but not the company I work for. Any information on if they use this?

Thank you so much... - Curious

I appreciate everyone's input and I'm thrilled it's so overwhelmingly positive. I was already very excited about the position and hearing ChartNet is so MT-friendly just makes it that much better.

Thanks again, and have a great week!!!

ChartNet - Thank You!
May 21, 2010

I posted a couple of weeks ago asking for everyone's input on ChartNet.  Everyone posted positively and, as usual, you were right.  It's a great platform, really easy to learn and VERY MT-friendly.  I also got lucky and the dictators are excellent, too, so the whole experience has been wonderful.  Thanks to all who reassured me and to anyone else wondering, yes, ChartNet is the bomb! ...

If This Is Possible In ChartNet ?
Jul 15, 2011

I have been using ChartNet for a few weeks now.  My training was really brief, so I still have a lot to learn.  With the way we do the headers (cnt-N) and subheaders (cnt-shift-N), there doesn't seem to be any way to paste large sections into the report to include headers and/or subheaders.  I did that a lot in DocQscribe, and it sure did help my line count not to mention my hands and wrists when I could copy and paste large sections into certain reports, especially with things like card ...

What's Up With Chartnet?
Mar 17, 2014

Why is it that every time Chartnet has an update, things end up worse than before?  Stuff that used to work doesn't work right anymore.  And it doesn't accept 1-letter abbreviations.  My biggest peeve with this is that I have to manually capitalize the word "I" and I didn't have to do that before.  So annoying.  When something works, don't fix it.   I used to love Chartnet but now it's really starting to bug me.  They keep saying they w ...

Chartnet And M-Modal?
Aug 12, 2011

I posted 7-8 posts below asking info about Chartnet.  I am wondering if the Chartnet I am using is the same everyone else is using?  The Chartnet I am using is tied in with M-Modal, but I don't have VR on my account.  The login box actually says  SPEECHMOTION Healthcare Documentation Platform ChartNet Client 4.10.  I am confused, as it doesn't seem very user friendly. ...

A Question About ChartNet
Jul 19, 2012

Once in a while I mistakingly save a file before the voice file is done. I put in my first password in and then it tells me the voice file was not finished and all I can do is answer "OK" in the box. I've learned I'm going to be trained on Chartnet?  How is it?  Good/Bad?  I really dread editing other's reports.  When I had to do it years ago I sucked at it.  I couldn't make any money.  Has it changed?  Is it easier editing reports now?  Probably not.  I could really use some feedback.  I'll take all the info I can get, positive and/or negative.  Thanks to anyone who responds.  I really appreciate it.  ...

Recently Started On ChartNet
Sep 26, 2010

I have recently started on ChartNet.  I read reviews, which are mostly positive, and my question is why? I find it cumbersome with all the headings you have to make with the control/shift keys and entering, starting new headers, etc.  Not very fluid at all (for me anyway).  Does anyone have advice/tips on how to make this more user-friendly?  Plus I lose reports and have no idea where they go or how to get them back, so I am losing line count as well.  I was happy to read all those positive ...
