Has anyone who was hired on at Ascend/Portal Health Care LLC during the last hiring received their payment for Phase I?  I am beyond outraged right now; just told that I will have to wait until after the 15th  for my first payment to be processed b/c processing ended on March 20th despite repeated emails being sent out by payroll stating that submission after the 20th wouldn't affect the schedule of payment.  Not to mention, I submitted my invoice twice and asked for receipts both times without any response. 

I passed Phase I and just began working on Phase II, but I'm not sure that I want to continue with this company at this point.  I think it is in extremely poor business practice to tell your MTs one thing and do another ESPECIALLY when it is concerning money ( hardearned).  AT LEAST rectify your BLATANT SCREW UP and overnight me an effing check via UPS or Fed-EX as I'm sure you in all your millionaire glory can AFFORD IT!!!!  My livelihood is being affected right now; I have BILLS DUE!  I'm not sure if the CEO of the Ascend/Portal hasn't noticed, but I DON'T WORK FOR FREE!

 

Boy I'd hate to be anywhere near these high-faluting, emotionally devoid, morally corrupt big wigs when the wheels of karma come a'spinning ...because they certainly will and that is a guarantee!

I received my payment this past Monday. I checked and I sent my invoice on 03/14/2014.

I submitted my invoice at least three times, on time, received a confirmation e-mail my "fee" would be issued on 04/04, have not received it as of 04/10, two others I talk to received theirs on Monday. I have not started phase 2 and probably at this point will not.

I have not received my payt for Phase 1. I just received an email from Payroll. It looks like payt will be processed April 18th? I thought original email had said payment would be processed April 7th?

Debbie I have not received mine either, today received an e-mail telling me to confirm I had received it. I was hired the middle of February I think and as of yet I have received no payment for anything. I am going to call the Department of Labor in the morning and I am definitely not going to do any more work for them.

It's been over 10 years now, but I worked for them for 5 years and periodically had my checks bounce. I did get paid eventually and they covered the bank charges. I was actually considering applying with them just for some part time work, but I haven't seen any job postings for them. It seems that have a new system with these phases mentioned on this post.

Payroll Process - Ascend Payroll

Ascend payroll as specified in your employment letter works on semi-monthly cycle. All staff is given 5 days after the payroll period close to submit their invoices and payroll back-up data. This allows our large number of hourly and production staff to provide proper information on hours and line count. Submitted information is verified and ADP payroll service generates the payroll. Ascend distributes checks with ADP stub for cumulative compensation and taxes while replaces ADP check with its own check. The replacement check permits Ascend to adjust payroll advances given to staff and interest free loans where agreed upon amount is subtracted.

Sometimes, new hire do not read the specific process as outlined. This unfortunately generates confusion.

We just generated new process e-mail explaining the payroll workflow. Checks are distributed 15 days after the payroll is closed to allow staff to submit their detailed invoice, verification by the payroll department and ADP payroll processing.

This has been our practice for past 13 years and wage compensations are distributed accordingly. We process payroll for large number of staff twice a month.

The ONLY "ADP processing" is in their dreams. The Indian owner/CEO signs a hard check... with a pen... and mails it to you... when he feels like it... probably from India because it takes that long to get it...and always on a weekend/holiday/anything to stretch out the time, etc. He "doesn't believe" in direct deposit (?!!) READ the archives. The place is joke and thought they had finally went under last year after they were nailed big time for HIPAA noncompliance. Guess they are slinking back again. RUN AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN!!! and if you had their jacked up stupid/manual platform installed, good luck trying to remove all the components to the backwardass time wasting system. This phase crap sounds bogus. Do they even HAVE the account they say will go live "soon"?! Probably not.

You must really dislike them. I think whatever they may do, they seem to employ US MTs and that would be a change if owner's ethnicity is challenged. Beating up a company providing employment in these tough times may not be the right thing to do. Just my opinion.
