Any US MxSecure MTs still have jobs? - MT

Just got an e-mail the day before Thanksgiving that MxSecure is going to an all-employee status and no longer using IC's and that they are not currently recruiting employees in my geographic area. I'm out of a job as of the end of the year. I'm just wondering if there are other MxSecure MTs in the States who were offered employee status or if they are going to completely move the work out of the country.

Yes, I was sent a letter of intent to become an employee to sent in, with information to be followed up later. Located in AZ.

Does it have anything to do with the new laws pending in some of the states about the electronic data transfer ban to foreign countries? All of the production from MxSecure is from the Phillipines. I just wish they would be truthful, but I have found that this company never has been from the start.

I have been working with MXSecure for a little over a year now and have found them to be a very reputable company (this based on 35+ years in this career field; having worked with many MTSOs/people during this time). In my opinion (and we all have them), I feel that slamming MX is insane. Do you honestly think they WANT to do all the extra work and go through the extra expense in changing from IC to employee status?? Figuring and paying taxes, social security, dealing with benefits, work comp, etc.?? Furthermore, do you honestly believe in their decision making, they decided, "Oh, and let's make it so we cannot hire from certain states." Sorry, but I find that line of thinking a bit obtuse, if not paranoid. I would be very disgruntled if I was told "No work for you" because I lived in XX state, but I would "pull up my big girl panties" and find out exactly why and take this information to my state representative or congressman and ask "Why." However, if one does not feel they are an honorable company, or that they lie, why would you want to stay?? That seems to be a bit illogical also (but that's me).

For those of you who have lost positions with MX, I know of another excellent company hiring ICs. They are ramping up and have already acquired a few new acute care accounts and a radiology account. No tests, tons of work, honest, and very friendly. Just let me know, and I will answer individuallly.

I also worked for them much more behind the scenes than you if you are an MT and I was in on the meetings about sending the work even more offshore, running the offshore schools, who went over and when to start them up. They are NOT doing this for anybody else's good other than their own.

I am very happy with Mxsecure. I was offered a job and I am accepting it. However, with the adjustments being made I do not know if I will be able to afford to stay. I would very interested to know what the company is that is hiring ICs.

Just FYI: for some time now, MxSecure has been shorting my pay. I get the "there-there" routine--then it happens again. They are first very rigid about invoicing, then say to enter a separate line for any incentive. The latest is that it's a "known issue." I have no idea what is going on with this company. Ever since we got the notice about switching to VR, it seems it has all gone to pot. Or maybe I am just grouchy. ...

I recently saw a job ad for this company and am considering testing for a job. The job ad does not specifically state their equipment requirements. I went to their company web site to try to find out, but I can't find any place where they list whether you need a footpedal to take the test. First employee check from the company (been an IC for over 5 years, went to employee status Jan 1) and I wasn't paid for my hours, only my production which equaled less than min wage for the hours. I've emailed them time and time again since 1/18/11 and all I get is "we're working on it" without any type of real answer as to what it is they are working on. I just ran into a local job already, MOWING GRASS. The lady's lawn mowing man just finished school and is quitting the mowing. Most postings are about how horrible the industry is and how impossible it is to get a job. It really stinks because after I complete a job it throws NJA at me. If I let if search for jobs long enough it will find me one.
