Regardless of all the above comments, to answer your question, experienced MTs who have been laid off en masse are having a difficult time finding work. There are so few job openings, and even fewer that pay anything close to a living wage. Unless you have an "in" with a local, in-house transcription service for a clinic or something, I doubt your daughter will be able to find work.
