your wages are decimated. My UI office looked at my last 12 months and said, "you shouldn't have to settle for less than $13.00 an hour" and I didn't have to, only because I didn't hang around in an OOW or NJA situation for months. Most of us have UI options because of the OOW and NJA situation. I filed for UI BEFORE I was laid off to make up the difference between what I made before and what I was making in a chronic low work volume situation. Do what you can for yourself but going into this business would be fool's errand at best. Twenty-two years is enough for this old lady.
