was told by TL this morning, any blank filled in by QA that is beyond the account specs, results in a 0.25 ding.
That is why I came to check out this site this morning. I cannot keep doing this.
not fair - feltx

I left a blank that QC filled, but two days later on post audit, I am counted off again because of the correction QC made. That's not fair. I emailed TL, but have not heard anything yet.
Here's why the dings - duuh

That stinks when on a no-blank account. Honestly, --sm - anon

there should either by a company wide mandate of say, 4 blanks or whatever before getting dinged off or there should be a company wide standard of how many blanks are allowed for the account. What it means though is if it is a bad dictator, instead of trying to pull every last word out, just allowing the blank to encompass more of the dictation.

There is a new QA protocol in place and I asked my TL to explain it to me because I thought I misunderstood but unfortunately I don't.
Say an account spec allows for 2 blanks to go through on a chart to the site. I have a chart that I send to QA with 4 blanks. QA fills in 3 of the blanks. I get dinged for that 3rd blank 0.25 points because QA got it. It is fair, absolutely not, because that's what QA is there for, to fill in blanks that we cannot understand.
Yes - I posted last week about that issue. - I was told

in so many words that the guidelines we have been given mean nothing. That QC/QA can audit you anytime they like, and ANY error, yours or not, will be charged to the MLS. Does not matter if it was sent to QA because there was a problem, defective speech, dictator error, etc. ALL errors, no matter who makes them, will be charged to the MLS' to assure a constant percentage below 99%, but not below 98% to cause them to be fired. I can only address what I was told. It was made very, very clear that any FIESA challenge was a waste of time. That, regardless of what FIESA policy states, Nuance will do exactly what they want, to any MLS, to keep them from getting any bonus.
They should be so proud...Did not realize they could sink lower than a rat hole.
if you get a decent TL, fiesa challenges are worth it - anon

I've had about 6-7 fiesa disputes overturned in the past 2 months or so... all reversed except one that I put in for.
Think it mostly depends on your TL and if they will fight for you (fortunately mine does most of the time).

When W-2 Is Incorrect, You Think, On Purpose Jan 27, 2015I just received my W-2 from an employer who consistently paid late for the last 1-2 years. The employer has yet to finish paying me for work from the last quarter of the year and is about $600 to $700 short of what he owes me. The W-2 reflects the whole amount that I had earned instead of just what had been paid by the end of the year. Has this happened to anyone before? If so, what did you do?
My feeling is - not only that I cannot file an incorrect W-2 legally, but also that if I file w ...

MME Corrections Jan 22, 2010Unbelieveable..for years I have been typing comorbid, now I get a correction of co-morbid all throughout my report. In the past, I have been told to change cc to mL but then I got corrected by MME and so went back to cc, now I am corrected again that it should be mL. I have been told in the past, if it is not followup, then write it this way without a dash, follow up, no dash. Now I am corrected to put the dash in, follow-up. This is an ongoing thing with whichever ...

Bogus QA Corrections? Mar 20, 2013Three or four times in the last two days I have gotten one of those unfriendly FIESA MAJOR ERROR alerts . . . only, that's not my work. I know without a single doubt that I did not make those errors, and seemingly some of these so called 'errors,' would have been flagged by spellcheck.
What's up with that?
Offering rebuttal in their comment section is pointless, it's just a waste of time since no one really reviews those or sends any feedback.

Recommendation For Those Ever-recurring Little Corrections. Oct 25, 2009You know, where you have to stop and type in a "his," "the," "no," "were," "and," or separate a run-on into 2 sentences, add a "She" to a sentence, change a letter, join 2 sentences into one, etc., because VR goofed.
This has been working well for me: Use
SINGLE LETTERS (T, E, F, and so on) for the very most common words and corrections.
Like T for "the," N for "no," E for "was", J for "has," F for macro that toggles letter from lower to upper and upper to lower ...
ME Corrections - How To Get Them To Be Incorporated Into Speech Sep 21, 2010I have had so many dictators dictating the same PE, etc. and have to continually change the same things. Is there a way to make a heading such as CHEST from "the chest is..." work? I have one doctor whose "dilutional" is always speeched as DELUSIONAL. How can I make these corrections work. Suspect it requires a call to SUPPORT with job ID, ad nauseum documentation.
I suspect that only IT can re-correct these Speech errors, and not us as was originally exp ...
Escription Corrections Don't Seem To Stick Nov 17, 2014I work on v 9, 10 and 11 and I have noticed that when I make corrections on some VR reports the corrections do not seem to stick by the time they get to QC. I have seen mistakes that I distinctly remember correcting while I am editing and then they show up as not corrected on the QC reviews. Thankfully it hasn't happened on post-audit but it is pretty upsetting. I had my TSM check a couple of them and sure enough, the mistakes were there when sent by me, so either I have become a hor ...

Annoying "corrections." Jan 05, 2014I had a fairly short note that was easy - and correct - except for a couple of lab terms I wasn't sure of because the dictator slurred over them. Wanting the report to be correct, I submitted it to QA in the hope that the "smarter" QA person would hear the lab terms and fill them in. Ha! She didn't know either, but instead went through and "corrected" things that didn't need correcting, I'm sure in order to justify her job. No more will ...
