Incorrect PTO pay problem being corrected... - Happy Camper

Wanted everyone to know they sent a communication acknowledging the problem, how it happened and that those short-changed will get their money on next week's check. While this should have not happened in the beginning at least we know they didn't plan to rip us off permanently.

If you were previously being paid by Transcend based on quarterly averages, then your problem has been corrected. However, for those of us who were being paid at a grandfathered PTO rate, the problem has not been fixed at all. They need to pay us along with the rest of Transcenders the contracted rate at which we earned our Transcend accrued PTO. All they had to do was do it. No confusion about it.

I agree with YD. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS DO It. Why do they have such confusion on all fronts?

I have quite a bit of PTO banked which I was planning to use for a long-awaited vacation in March. I have/had a grandfathered PTO rate from clear back in the TRS days, and with the Nuance pay cut (not to mention lighter workload) this "average quarterly" thing is going to hit me to the tune of around $4 an hour.

I asked an attorney friend about it, and he didn't know the answer exactly, but he said he finds it hard to believe a company could, in effect, get away with retroactively lowering pay for hours already earned. In the next several days he will be attending a conference where he will have an opportunity to speak to one of the top labor law experts in California, and he's going to ask him about it. If I learn anything, I'll come back and post it here.

This is my situation and it is such a small amount I feel silly saying anything, and haven't brought it to their attention. An ESL dictator said, "patient no more on anticoagulation." I put, "patient no LONGER on anticoagulation." It was changed to "more" like the dictator did say, but of course that is incorrect English usage. No matter--it was marked as a "verbiage error." I should have known. How can the VR get trained if we correct even obvious errors like this? This is really humiliating to have to actually transcribe like this. ...

I just received my W-2 from an employer who consistently paid late for the last 1-2 years. The employer has yet to finish paying me for work from the last quarter of the year and is about $600 to $700 short of what he owes me. The doctor was so bad and the dictation was super scratchy. I thought for sure it was: "blood pressure 140/62" after listening to it after QA it turned out to be: "blood pressure 144/62" QA corrected it as: "blood pressure 1144/62" ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Do any of you feel that errors you've corrected on the edit drafts disappear? Have you gotten marked off for errors that you are sure you corrected? Several reports over the past few weeks have came back with points marked off for errors that I'm 99.9% sure I caught and fixed before uploading. This makes me feel like I'm losing my mind. ...

Hi - My IT is great but for some reason it keeps telling me that my glossary is "incorrect." I can still use the IT with my transcription program and can add entries, etc. I just don't get it. What exactly is "incorrect?" My only thought on this is that I had copied something out of my transcription program from an E-mail (from the company) for an entry and ever since then it started doing this.
