nuiance anyone??? Got email looking for me to apply - not sure I want to change again

But, if the working environment is more friendly than mmodal, I seriously think I would consider it...

I answered the Nuance ad as it said the programs they owned, Editscript, etc. Did not hear anything from "Nuance" but heard from M-Modal. I know that they were Medquist, I did not know they were also Nuance. I played their games before and they make the rules and change them! They have advertised differently also with different platforms and hours. In the questioning from the site that was supposed to be from Nuance, they asked if you ever worked for....Medquist or Transend, along with many others, which meant what? Like they are ALL ONE now? Big brother...monopoly? "Go to jail and don't collect 200 dollars? Can't buy Park Place or RailRoad Avenue on 4 cents." Don't know what is going on. The services like it that way.

I work at Nuance and I am pretty sure they are totally seperate from M-Modal/MQ. Not sure where that rumor started up.

They did just buy Transcend.

The scoop from my perspective. The pay is lousy, but aren't they all now? 4cpl edit/8 cpl type, which there is no straight typing.

My accounts have a lot of work and usually OT.

The QA is BRUTAL.

Editscript is GREAT platform, love it.

If I had it to do all over again, I would have taken the offer I got from Transolutions at the same time (took Nuance because they offerred a sweet schedule), however, I don't dislike them enough to leave.

There is no rumor started. The fact was that in answering to a Nuance ad on this board, the answer was from M-Modal. On the Nuance website it was asked if you ever worked for Transend and other services that were probably bought out also. So you even mention that Transend was bought out...by Nuance or Medquist...you state that like you know it to be a fact, but you don't really say who they merged with. I tend to think that the biggies are now all one. Transend was always one of the biggies with Medquist. Deals are being made and we are blindsighted to it all. That is why their management always has someone checking these posts. Keep the workers in the dark. Let them wonder what is going on and then throw them a bone. If they get too close to exposing them...call it a rumor.

Sorry, didn't realize you were so touchy on the subject. I wasn't calling anyone a liar, so whatever.

Transcend was bought out by Nuance, yeah DUH. We all got e-mails and it was all over the boards, so yeah.

M-Modal and Nuance are not merged, I am almost positive about that. They are 2 different companies.

Maybe you applied for M-Modal by mistake, maybe you hit the wrong link, maybe the website hooked the wrong link to the wrong company, who knows.

I am just saying I don't think M-Modal and Nuance are the same company.

Nothing like a good conspiracy theory. But who cares, they are all the same. They all treat the MT like garbage. They all pay lousy with cruddy benefits.

I applied from the Job Seekers Board here from the posting on 4/27 by Nuance and looking for Acute Care Transcriptionists. I did not hit a wrong button anywhere. I was just asking this board, since we all have been bounced around from Ma and Pa's service to Big Brother. I was stating what happened and they did ask questions about working for other services. I did not want to 'start' something, just trying to see from fellow workers what is really going on as....listen, I have been around and through several layoffs and they all...deny, deny, deny.

I just got an e-mail from a recruiter from Nuance asking me if I would like to apply for a job; i.e. they took over my former place of employment's transcription department and I had originally applied so I could stay on, but then decided not to-thus they still had my contact info. Just want to be sure my fellow MTs are well informed. If you apply at Teletrak, be prepared to be offered 8 cpl for 65 VBC line - this amounts to approximately 30% reduction in pay with the negative spaces. I would totally be leery of this job. They are liars and cheats and are always wanting you to work your days off and over, but pay you NO OVERTIME!! THIS COMPANY SUCKS AND DOES NOT GIVE A RATS BEHIND ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES. I have worked there 4 years and never got a raise, much less any respect for the 21 years I have worked as an MT.
