Just want to be sure my fellow MTs are well informed. If you apply at Teletrak, be prepared to be offered 8 cpl for 65 VBC line - this amounts to approximately 30% reduction in pay with the negative spaces. I used several old reports and figured line counts all ways and it was almost 30% less each time with VBC. I was told by the recruiter, "You'll probably have to work a few extra hours a day to make what you're used to, but in order to keep the client in a long-term contract, this is what we have to do." So, in order for that company to make enough money (which I'm sure is more than enough to feed several families), they are screwing the MT. I declined and I'm sure from my quote above that they will know who I am, which is fine. I said I would think about it and after figuring out the difference, do not even have the desire to tell them to shove it. I have other useful things to do with my breath! I'm urging my fellow MTs, if you are able and I know that is not always realistic, to not accept this from this company. Their purpose is for the rich to get richer on the shoulders of MTs who cannot feed their families. They should get the quality they are willing to pay for, very poor. Teletrak should be ashamed, especially since they state in their ad, "Competitive line rate." Competitive to who - a china sweat shop?? I needed to share that and if I offend anyone, that is not my intention. You don't have to agree with me, but I'm entitled to share my feelings. Besides, bottling up negative emotions makes me REALLY grumpy! LOL!
