They have squeezed all the blood out of MTs they could (for a while), then they start on the QC..   Sorry QC but we all must share the evil as well as the good.  Now the QA who have the power to impact all our pay must have to wonder "Could this happen to me next?"  I sure as heck hope so. 

They usually say "Sh** flows down stream", but in this case it seems to be going up.  I like my TSM, but also find it annoying for them to discuss their vacations, letting us know they have way more PTO and pay then we do.  Perhaps they will be next in line after QA. 

After all, we all must contribute to the profits of the almighty Nuance.

Ummm, no thanks. Not after what I read here. Used to be the appeal would be an hourly salary, but now that seems to have gone and QC are under the same stupid rules as us.

I think QA are still up there on the pedestal, though. I just wonder what they are offered for taking everyone else's pay down.

No, QA don't make the rules, but they do enforce the rules to a ridiculous (and sometimes entirely subjective) degree which demonstrably impacts our income as MTs in a very negative fashion, so I just wonder if there is some kind of quota or some other encouragement to doling out errors.

I just don't see them being on production - how they could be placed under scrutiny like we are unless the parameters would be racking up points off MTs and now QCs so they can take $ off of us.

If that happens, it's not just them who will be under pressure, but us - even more than we are now, if that's imaginable.

The reason why we audit the way we do is because we are getting audited as well; your errors are our errors.

I do understand that, but what on earth would - make us MTs want the QC job?

Now that Nuance are penalizing us MTs for blanks with the 10% cap (which is really silly in that how can you help sending it to QC if you have a terrible dictation?), it appears QC are lacking work due to some MTs realizing that since greater than 10% drops your cpl one full cent time is better spent figuring out the blanks than going faster and sending to QC.

I have no issue with what you said, but it seems now that QCs are lacking work PLUS they don't get paid hourly anymore, that's what I mean. So why would we MTs want that, more of the same impossible job parameters, low pay, and bad treatment?

Does no one audit QA? What's the down side to their situation. How do they beef up their pay, or is it just hourly, anyone know?

We QCs already cannot meet the line quota that is set up now. This is a set-up to have us not meet the line requirement and therefore pay us minimum wage. Wow, stellar move, Nuance.

If you're still an MT, take my advice and stay there. Moving to QC will not be any better for you and might actually be worse. You will be guaranteed minimum wage no matter what you do.

This fact (that there are no quotas and you get no bonuses for errors) actually makes me really sad.

I have had such silly nitpicking "errors" claimed against me, almost always overinflated and reversals almost always denied, I had consoled myself with believing the reason QA were doing that on the post audits was because they were getting some kind of incentive.

So now it seems they are just doing it to what, lord it over us, because when they find anything at all they can call an error they blow it up? Honestly, I can't give you examples because then they would know who I am, but trust me, I have had some absolute doozies.

So, to know they are just doing it because they feel like it or want to prove they are better than us, well, not sure I can deal with that. I truly hate the FIESA.

I'm a QC now, but back when I was an MLS - possibly the most ridiculous error I was given a 1.0 for typing '7-11' instead of 7-Eleven.

I'm sure ppl have lost hundreds of dollars for similar things with this new plan... cause it truly affects patient safety whether you type Walmart or Wal-Mart!

If all or most of the MTs are in India (obviously the goal), who will the TSMs manage? Will they babysit the India MTs? I don't think anyone is immune to Nuance's evil ways.

The India MLS have their own Indian TSM. They - have the same setup. Ex-TSM

Pay/quality requirement is slightly higher than QC, but not much, and otherwise is the same.

Lots of QA already going to India. Maybe - management will be next. nm

As per the email we received this morning, "With the implementation of the new compensation plan for QC and QA employees, effective this Saturday, May 23rd , " .... it's both QC and QA going to production.

At least QA will never be short of work like QC is. QC is being required to nearly double their production (180lph is less than minimum wage) to maintain steady wages. But that won't matter, because all it takes is ONE CPSE to knock it right back down to what Nuance really wants to pay us.

Make sure your headings are spelled correctly before uploading as the spell checker ignores them completely, which makes me highly suspicious that they are not included in our line count whether we type them or insert them.  You know, DQS was the only good thing MQ had going for it until this update.  They had some good ideas, but implemented them poorly, not to mention should have done a beta with a handful of non-suck-up and non-family-member-to-the-CEO MTs first.  I have a fe ...

Beware . . . Watch out for this company!!!  They do nothing but move employees around continously and train them on new accounts so there isn't any room for advancement or the ability to excel on a specific account.  Lastly, they have US MTs get all the 'bugs' out on an account and then move the account off shore and lay off their US MTs.  There is a lack of communication and lack of professional management throughout the entire company.  Just a heads up to any ...

Just recently our QC sent out an email to an MT in our group for a HIPAA error and blind copied all the MT/MME in the BOB.  This poor MT would never have known unless others came forward and reported that they got this email in error. Make sure that if you get an email it is only coming to you.  I really hope she files a complaint with HR for shaming her in front of her peers.  Don't look, don't share apparently does not apply to anyone other than MT/MME. ...

an email recently for a "concerned" MLS - never, ever had that happen on this board until the posts went up about the DOJ, DOL and all the bogus "errors" the QCs are hitting us for.  Check out the posts saying "what do you mean bogus errors - can you be specific; I don't get it; what errors?"  What MLS working for Nuance does not understand what a "bogus error" by Indian QC is?  Work for Nuance for a nanosecond, and you know immediately  they dump on the MLS� ...
