Typical Saturday morning.. - read to the end

OOW--my TMS quit--no new TSM yet. I liked her--sorry she left. I have 3 accounts and not ONE job this morning--so why do I have to work Saturday mornings againg??? I am sooooo glad I supplement my income by watching children in my home. That is the only way I can survive.

I also have so many other things I could be doing this morning--but no, I sit and wait for work...

Just killing time, typing this post, bored to death.

I am going to pick my daughter up from college and take her and my youngest shopping for a homecoming dress for the younger one. I wish I could leave now, but no, I sit and wait for work.

I make waaayyy more taking care of children that this MLS "job" that I have. I am really good with children. We have circle time, sing songs, learn letters, do lots of artwork, work on manners and sharing...it is more fun than struggling to edit ESL MDs all day--some I am not sure are even attempting to speak English.

Can't quit though, because I need some kine of proven income.

If you have read this far, then maybe you are out of work and bored to death too--if you have what it takes to do inhome child care, I highly recommend it.

That is why there is always 2nd and 3rd shift work. AM work is almost non-existent anymore!

starts to disappear less than halfway through the evening shift, as soon as the work day starts over there, away it goes.

you're doing child care under the table? You should get a job in a daycare facility. If you can make so much more watching children get into a daycare facility or start you own in-home child care business. Stop wasting your time with MT.

Always work Saturday morning, rarely have NJA but beginning to think it's going to be a regular thing now. This is my 3rd NJA this week. I feel sorry for those that get NJA every day. I can feel it creeping up on me slowly. I hope those of you who have NJA have applied for unemployment. My scheduled day/shift to work and NJA. Finding I am unable to make up these hours later in the week. It's not a wonderful life at all. Can't sleep at night wondering where the money for bills, etc., will come from, wondering who is next for termination. I am looking for another job but no luck so far. Will be getting even harder in my area as a MAJOR employer is laying of over 1000 workers. It's getting worse out here. Hanging on by a thread. ...

I FINALLY got a job today and they are paying me per line as an IC, which is fine, but I want to make sure I keep up with what they expect. I quit Nuance on Saturday and today have received 2 offers for employment elsewhere. One is in the transcription field and the second is something completely different. Think I will go with the new field. I need a change. There are plenty of minimum wage or a little better paying jobs out there in transcription though if one wants to stay with that type work. You don't have to stick with Nuance for fear of not finding other work. ...

I already work weekends. They say it is for TAT. Work is already thin on weekends. This is not fair to the people who were hired for M-F. When I tried to sign back on at 9 p.m. PST (midnight EST), I could not get in, and the DEP light was red. I thought I saw a message on DEP that it was down for maintenance, but I just found the schedule they sent us sometime back, and next weekend is what is scheduled. I'm getting so tired of having a report or two, then NJA, then while waiting another report comes, then NJA, etc., etc., early in my shift. Sure, we have been encouraged to just check back later on and work then. I really don't know why they suggest or even allow this to happen. When you log on during another shift, all you're doing is taking work from those folks who normall work then. They in turn are then told to work later too and this cycle of NJA just ...
