Does anyone know of TransTech MT positions and if they pay any better then Nuance? I applied to it but curious about pay if anyone has any information. Thanks

for the life of me I cannot remember what. She is often out of work at the same times I am. Whatever I did think was better was not enough to make me apply and learn a new system and a new account.

Thanks! I am not thinking to keenly on leaving Nuance if its not better. I always have work (except this week with spring break) but I am beginning to think that I may as well stay where I am. My TL is pretty neat so that helps. I applied on a Carolyn website for work only to find out I was having to "bid" on jobs that India people were bidding on for 1 cent a line. You have to appreciate this web site where ONLY Americans are invited. I for one was disgusted with that web site. Got the info on LinkedIn about trying to find work there and it was a joke. There was even a bid for 0 cents a line from India. What a total joke. That web site should be taken down if I had my way about it! Thanks a lot :)

It is insulting to all of us with the way that MT pay has gone down the drain, it is frustrating and aggravating to look for a "decent" job these days, trying to work out which companies will treat you fairly, which ones lie about their platforms, work, etc., and not only do these companies not want to pay us what we are worth but now I see that MANY companies are requiring the MT to have or "be willing" to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of equipment. I tried entering my ID plus dep on the Fluency for Transcription page and it said my account was inactive. Okay, so I tried twice with Remedy to get it reactivated. Hi there fellow TT MTs:) Do any of you ever have trouble with QA at TT. Lately, I have been afraid to send anything in for correction, particularly 1 person, who dissects my reports down to crossing my Ts and dotting my Is. I know she is probably just doing her job well, and I know being in QA is a hard job, but this is getting depressing. I am not a newbie by any means, and I know my job well. I started a new thread because I noticed your question about TransTech waaaay down at the bottom of the page and with no responses yet, so here goes... In my personal experience, nothing has changed from the older posts. Even today, I have 4 accounts and I'm currently waiting for work to come into my queue. Usually there are lots of posts here about TT. Just wondering what is going on now. I was hired and supposed to start work there, but could not work with satellite. For some reason, the EditScript would not come up. So I got rid of satellite and had Verizon Wireless installed. So far this is working pretty good. Much better than satellite -- knock on wood. I have to say I really enjoyed working for TT other than the times of low volume and I would recommend them. some part-timers anyway, why not offer weekends to part-timers and offer some Mon-Fri shifts for the experienced full-time MTs you're trying to get..... That's about the only way you're going to get many experienced quality MTs. And there are always plenty of MTs looking for part-time weekend work as a 2nd job. ...
